Sarah J Grierson
I have been a healing practitioner for over 20 years and I still have a very keen interest in helping people overcome their physical and emotional issues. I believe that having a psychology degree and an avid interest in that field deeply supports my practice. As well as experiencing and training in other healing modalities, I have studied courses in counselling, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), animal behaviour and healing.
About Theta Healing:
Theta healing deals with the core issues that we hold onto in our subconscious so that we can start to deal with the problem or condition. The term ‘Theta Healing’ is given because the practitioner enters a theta brainwave that is the same state when we are in REM sleep or in hypnosis (where you have no limitations). It’s in this ‘theta state’ that we can access the subconscious mind to cancel limiting beliefs and blocks, replacing these with positive ones to support the client in achieving their goals.
Both Theta healing and EFT are powerful healing techniques and have literally been life-changing for me, as well as many of my clients, where they have healed physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, by addressing underlying emotions and memories that are often held in the subconscious.
In a Theta healing session, I listen to the client talking about their issues and then we explore the body/mind connection (physical issues often appear or manifest when or just after we have been upset psychologically, but haven’t dealt with these emotions). Using muscle-testing, limiting beliefs and emotional blocks may be identified using the body in the same way as a pendulum. I then enter a ‘Theta State’, which is similar to a deep meditative state for the healing itself. There is no need for any physical contact during this process, though clients often feel physical sensations, visualise colours, feel deeply relaxed or sometimes they might feel emotional during sessions.
About EFT/TFT (Tapping) :
Phobias, physical pain, negative thought patterns and habits are worked through and released through the client tapping the EFT ‘acupoints’ on the meridian lines. Continually tapping on these acupoints (around the face, hand and body) whilst focussing on uncomfortable feelings and thereafter, using positive affirmations, help neutralise those feelings. To conclude the session, we will tap on the ‘Nine Gamut Point Series’ (Eye Movement Desensitisation) to reinforce positive thoughts and behaviours. By experiencing the session, clients can even learn how to do tapping on themselves to work on other issues in the future.
